Janet Jackson On Set Dance Xperience with Jade Whaley, Jenni Terry, & Camille Cummings, at Dance Xcel Dance Studio

Who:  We are excited to welcome dancers age 13 to Seniors in College.

What: On Set Dance Xperience POWERED BY Alliance Dance Network is giving dancers a unique opportunity to TAKE CLASS and learn INNOVATIVE choreography from 3 seasoned NBA & NFL dance professionals and BE FEATURED in a Janet Jackson themed concept video filmed ON SET at Dance Xcel Studio in Inver Grove Heights.

The completed Janet Jackson themed On Set Dance Xperience Workshop Video will be featured on the Alliance Dance Network's YT/OSDX IG! We will also email you a copy of the video. Dancers will watch the choreography choreographed by Jade, Jenni, and Camille and then pick which routine they like best, and then the dancers will learn the finale all together with the other dancers.

Open to ages: 13 to Seniors in College

Why: Our Xperience aims to document and preserve the progress of each participating OSDX dancer on film. Not only will the On Set Dance Xperience video be available for sharing on social media with friends and family, but it will also be emailed to each dancer and serve as a valuable asset for a dancer's resume and a cherished memory to look back on for years to come!

OSDX WS Rehearsal & Filming Schedule

11:00 am - 12:00 pm Learn, rehearse and stage either section 1 or 2 of our Janet Jackson themed OSDX routine. Your dancer will pick which section they would like to learn/be in on the day of their OSDX. Two of our Faculty members will demo the beginning, and middle sections of the OSDX routine at the start of our Xperience and they will rehearse/teach Sections 1 & 2 to our participating dancers in seperate studios.

12:00 pm to 12:15 pm - *BREAK* Q and A with Jade, Jenni, and Camille

12:15 - 1:15 pm All dancers will come back into one studio, and learn the finale with the third choreographer and prepare to film it outside on our OSDX WS Set!

1:15 pm - 1:45 pm Review, rehearse sections 1, 2, and the finale all together.

1:45 pm - 3:15 pm Perform the routine that you learned and staged in rehearsal, outside on our OSDX WS Set in front of a HD camera on a ronin stabilizer.

3:15 pm - 3:25 Dancer Circle Improv

What Happens Next: The groups (that we filmed of you and the other dancers performing the routine), will be edited into one OSDX WS video and featured on the ADN's YouTube, channel + ADN/OSDX IG/FB page.

• Full access to a downloadable folder with group action photos and the completed Janet Jackson Themed OSDX concept video (emailed to you in 3-4 weeks) to post on your social media, include on your resume, and have as a memory.

Please Note: All dancers must be ages 13 to Seniors in HS. Dancers must have a parent register/electronically sign a model release/waiver.

HOW TO REGISTER & ATTEND YOUR ON SET DANCE XPERIENCE 

1) Read through the Ticket Description above/what it includes 2)  Select how many tickets you would like to purchase below 3) Fill out the registration form/waiver/model release/agreement 4) Check out 5) Receive your On Set Dance Xperience confirmation email and an additional one with the studio location's address, about where to park etc. 4) Print off or show the OSDX PASS on your smartphone to be scanned when you sign in for your class.

-Meet Your OSDX WS Faculty-

NBA Timberwolves Former, Coach, Choreographer & Dancer - Camille Cummings

Camille Cummings is a passionate dance choreographer known for creating award-winning competition solo pieces and large group routines for professional NBA Dance Teams. As a former Minnesota Timberwolves Dancer of 5 years and NBA Dance Coach for 6 years, she enjoys sharing her love for NBA ProStyle performances with dancers across the U.S. today.

Prior to entering NBA entertainment, Camille trained for more than 16 years in various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, modern, and tap. She danced competitively growing up at her local studio in Woodbury, Minnesota, then continued dancing for a competitive club team during her freshman year in college. Over the years, Camille worked as a Gymnastics Coach, Dance Instructor, and judged dance competitions throughout the metro area. She had the opportunity to perform as a professional dancer in 7 countries, and for musical artists such as Drake and Walk the Moon, among many others. Camille’s diverse dance background laid the foundation for her unique choreographic style. She continues to inspire dancers of all ages through her classes and enjoys watching many of them grow to become industry dancers or dancers for professional sports teams.

NBA Chicago Luvabulls & University of St. Thomas Alum Dance Team Dancer - Jade Whaley

Jade started her dance career training at Aspirations Dance Company for 12 years. She proceeded to dance throughout college at the University of St. Thomas on the Dance Team, where she received USTDT Rookie of the Year. Currently, she is a 3 year member of the NBA Chicago Luvabulls. She has danced for Disney, Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime show, international commercials and as a backup dancer for Chicago artists. Other awards and recognition that she has achieved throughout her career would be the All American Team, Dance Spirit Future Star, & Capezio Special Dancer Award. She has also choreographed routines for Just For Kix, University of Iowa, UDA, and various high schools in the US.

NFL Cheerleader & Iowa State Dance Team Alum - Jenni Terry

Jenni has been dancing since she was three years old. She grew up dancing at Studio 4 in Burnsville, Minnesota. She started competing at six years old and fell in love. Later she joined her high school dance team at Eastview and had the opportunity to be apart of team Minnesota and travel to California to compete. Jenni is a recent graduate from Iowa State University and served as a captain on the dance team. She achieved first place pom titles in the D1A Pom category her junior and senior year. As well as representing team USA at worlds in 2022, where USA won gold. Jenni is also in her 2nd year of being a "NFL Cheerleader" Jenni is excited to share her passion and love for this sport with other dancers
